I really didn’t expect to do this at all, but I decided to attempt making a 4koma comic type of thing for the first time finally today. I’m not very good at this sort of thing but I’ve always wanted to mess with the idea. I may or may not make more in the future. The format is kind of sloppy but it’s my first time. I don’t do manga posts very often, because it’s unfortunately not very often that I actually buy manga. I find a bit of shame in reading scanlations, as I much prefer to read manga from the actual books. However, I can safely say that I’ve gotten into another manga that I will be buying the entire series of: Dance in the Vampire Bund. This manga is written by Nozomu Tamaki, though not his first work, it’s the first of his works that I’ve seen. The manga itself is rated Older Teen (16+) in the US version release, and with good reason. As this is a vampire series, there is quite a bit of violence, blood and in this case, nudity. Reisen Udongein Inaba by Ichijinsha

A recent get from ToysLogic, and the first thing I’ve ordered from them in over a year, Reisen Udongein Inaba limited edition mini figure by Ichijinsha came with the manga “Inaba and the Ground in the Moon” vol 1. Reisen is the second Touhou figure added to my collection, and also the smallest figure I own to date. She cost me $21.99 total, shipping included. Not a bad price for something so cute, even if she is tiny. If you’re interested in buying her you might have to search around a bit, as she’s no longer in stock at ToysLogic. Yuki Nagato (Ero Gamer Ver.)

I received this figure last week, been getting behind on posting a bit. This version of Yuki is basically a puchi Nendoroid (though I really can’t be sure if it’s official or not) and she comes with book #3 of “The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-Chan” limited edition. I bought her from Hobby Search for a mere 1,600 Yen. The shipping was 1,860 Yen putting the total price at 3,460. Not a bad price I must say. The book itself includes Furigana for people who have problems reading Kanji. This is a super cute figure and my favorite character from the Haruhi franchise (now know as the Endless Eight franchise?). So, if you’re a fan of little figures or Yuki, you can pick this up for a low price, though she’s sold out at Hobby Search. Read on for more pictures and a short review. Read More

My most recent addiction, MyAnimeList.
Ever since my husband showed me this site I have become more and more addicted. I love joining the anime clubs and getting the member ID cards to add to my profile.
I also love how you can keep track of all the anime and manga you have watched or read so far.
I haven’t added any manga to my profile yet, but eventually I will.
Just today Persocom created a club on there for the “Hyakko” character, Suzume saotome, one of my most favorite characters in this particular anime.

End of February Haul

I originally planned on posting this earlier, but things have been busy lately. Had some problems that needed taken care of and never got around to this. I picked up 5 volumes of xxxHolic manga last week from Barnes and Noble, and decided to finally get myself a membership since I plan to buy a lot more from there. Now, I’m up to date on the English xxxHolic releases so far. Been eying up quite a few manga series lately.
Also a couple days ago my Riiana picked up an issue of OtakuUSA for me, it’s pretty decent. It has a fold out Gurren Lagann poster in it. Also picked up Chocobo Tales and My Japanese Coach for the Nintendo DS. I know I’m already using iKnow for learning Japanese but I figure every little thing I can do to strengthen my knowledge will be useful. I’m waiting on Nendoroid Yoko to arrive by early next week as well. I apologize for such a short post after a long wait but there will be plenty more soon. Read More
