Animatic Figmation 2nd Anniversary!

For the 2nd year in a row, I can happily say that I’ve made it! Although due to some nasty computer problems I was suffering on the actual 2nd anniversary date, July 20th, I was unable to make the post in time yet again. The day before I suffered an onslaught of issues with my computer. So unlike last year I can’t say that I was slacking. But here I am back and ready to get back to blogging, and I’ve made it quite a way. I’d like to thank all my readers over the last 2 years, whether regulars or people who have recently stumbled here. Without your comments and feedback this would be nothing but a personal diary. In these past 2 years Animatic Figmation has struggled with it’s identity. Originally I had no idea what direction I was taking this blog, and to this day I still can say it’s been a bit of a bumpy and indecisive ride. I also didn’t expect to keep it going for this long. Despite hitting some lows and even considering quitting a couple times I have persevered. I’d like to think that this is still only the beginning, and I have quite a few ideas in store for the future.

You might notice that things look a lot different right now. I’ve changed the wordpress theme I’m using and I’m trying to mess with the layout and do something different. It’s about time I got a fresh new look. Be warned things will look out of place from time to time. Let me know if you have any suggestions, I could use some input. I’ll still be posting regularly but don’t be surprised if things change a bit here and there. Blogroll will return soon, as soon as I figure out where to put it. Something way different from the usual today, and more “toy” than “figure”. The other day we took a little trip to the local mall, and in it we found a consignment store with nothing but kids stuff. Clothing, toys, books, just about everything a parent would want, and at low prices since they’re all previously owned things. While looking through the store, I stumbled across a couple things. I’ll post about the other thing separately, since it has nothing to do with this. For $15.50 there was a bag full of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys. I thought it was perfect even though lots of pieces were missing, there was just way too much to ignore for that price. Mother’s Day Special

Happy Mother’s Day! Today I decided to do a special two part post, the first part is sort of a comic about how the main picture came to be, and the second part is a dedication to one of the lesser celebrated mothers in anime. This isn’t a normal post, just something fun I decided to throw together. Hopefully you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day, whether you’re a mom or just showing your mom some love. Well, I’ve had my DSLR for a bit now, but I’m still really getting the hang of it. There’s still quite a lot of tricks and things that I haven’t figured out, but I’ve been taking plenty of pictures. Today I’m just going to pick some random pictures and throw them up for you to see. Of course, being mostly a figure blog I’ll be sure to throw is some goodies so as to keep the interest of like-minded people. I’ve got so many reviews and so much to post about but I’ve been pretty busy lately so I’m getting kind of slow on keeping up with them. Loot Build-Up

Aside from figure posts I have others I’ve been planning to do. It seems that March will be quite the busy month for me, as I just received two packages from AmiAmi. I still have 2 Busou Shinkis that I never mentioned before as well, so I’ll add them in here too. Today’s loot consists of 4 Revoltechs, 3 Busou Shinkis, 1 Touhou plush, a pencil board and a PSP game. I have quite a bit more on the way, and by the end of this month, I might just have the largest monthly loot I’ve ever seen. Don’t expect all the reviews to come one after another though, I want to slip in some other posts between the cracks.
