Well, I’ve had my DSLR for a bit now, but I’m still really getting the hang of it. There’s still quite a lot of tricks and things that I haven’t figured out, but I’ve been taking plenty of pictures. Today I’m just going to pick some random pictures and throw them up for you to see. Of course, being mostly a figure blog I’ll be sure to throw is some goodies so as to keep the interest of like-minded people. I’ve got so many reviews and so much to post about but I’ve been pretty busy lately so I’m getting kind of slow on keeping up with them. Rest assured I’ll be back in the swing of things in no time, might even pump out a review tomorrow. But for now, bare with me. Nikon D3000 Get!

So today I finally went out and bought myself a real camera, my first DSLR. I ended up getting the Nikon D3000. This picture was taken with my old Vivitar, the trusty yet crappy camera I’ve been using since way before this site existed. I know this main shot isn’t that great, which is a true testament to the quality of my old camera. All the rest of the pictures in this post are with the Nikon. I got myself a UV filter for my lens, a new lamp, some new bulbs and borrowed some equipment from my mom. I’ve all but burnt myself out today taking pictures since I got it. Expect my picture quality to increase as I experiment and learn. I haven’t done a real figure shoot with it yet, but I’ve taken plenty of random shots. Happy New Year! 2010

Just doing a quick post to wish everyone a very safe and Happy New Year in 2010. Perhaps I’ll do a post looking back at 2009 later on. But rather than look behind right now I want to look forward, every step we take now leads us into our future, and we can only imagine what it holds for us. I want to thank everyone once again for visiting this blog, no matter what reason you have for coming here. I will do my best to improve upon everything that I do and wish that all of you do your best as well! May this be a great year for anime, manga and figures for all! I’m going to try to do different things around here in the coming months. Let’s see where this year takes us! If you’re wondering the girl pictured is Shou Toramaru from Touhou 12: Undefinable Fantastic Object, and the art is made by 9時 from pixiv, check it out for some really awesome art. Since it’s the year of the tiger I’ll most likely be featuring Shou again. I’ll get back to the real posts real soon.

Before December Dies

Happy holiday season to everyone. It’s been a chaotic month. First off, I’d like to write just a little bit for the few people that have been coming to my blog over the last year or so. Thank you for taking the time to comment or even just browse through the site, whether it be to read the reviews, snag some pictures, or just troll the hell out of me on some random forum. I appreciate everyone for their time and effort, and I’ve learned a lot since this blog began. I wouldn’t have kept blogging this long if I hadn’t met some wonderful people with similar interests from all over the world that I never go out and see myself. I’ve always tried to keep from writing negative posts and just done things that were positive because I figure if you don’t have something nice to say you should keep your mouth shut. In most cases that’s really the best thing to do, at the very least it keeps you from drama that can become a real waste of energy and time. Not that I intend to change that. It’s been a rough end of the year so I’m looking forward to 2010. I’m not going to make any new years resolutions this time around. I’m just going to keep moving forward. Anyways, I have more to ramble about, and I’m not going to mention something that most people would expect me to at all. Happy Halloween from Raspberyl Seraphy!

I know I’ve been away from this blog for over a month now, for various reasons, but it’s time for me to get this back up and running and what better way then to celebrate one of me favorite holidays! I recently acquired nendoroid Raspberyl and while we were carving a pumpkin I decided to get Melissa Seraphy, Pixie Hiyori and a couple others to make guest appearances. I’ll be doing the actual review of Raspberyl soon. Since last year I didn’t do a post for Halloween I wasn’t going to let it slip by unnoticed again this year! Of course, this post is a bit late seeing as it’s nearing November first as I write this, but what can I say we took our son out trick-or-treating and haven’t gotten home until just a bit ago.
