Shikayama-Chan “Bad” Dental Hygeinist by Yamato
I’ve had this figure for a couple of weeks now, so it’s about time I write a little review about it. Shikayama-Chan is made by Yamato, and as far as I know she doesn’t come from any anime/manga. There are 3 different versions of her according to the back of the box. I got her from Play-Asia on sale for $4.90, with shipping of $6.90. The shipping cost more than the actual figure. She now costs $9.90, and she’s still available to order here. Of course you can’t expect this to be a high quality figure for the price but nonetheless it’s a great addition to the bathroom. Read on for a short review and more pictures.
Shikayama-Chan is held onto her base nicely, but the little tooth guy that comes with has no way to attach to the base. Her paint is very glossy, making it harder to take pictures of her. Her head can be removed, as well as her body can be taken apart in half. The toothbrush she holds is made of plastic, so you can’t really use it, but if you have a small enough tooth brush you might just be able to get her to hold onto it. Overall she’s a cute addition to the bathroom, and the first figure that I’ve put in a different room than the rest. Standing on the bathroom sink cabinet she reminds us to brush our teeth! I bought her because I know I don’t brush my teeth often enough, and she was cheap and looked like she’d make a nice addition to the bathroom sink area. There’s not a whole lot more to be said about her really, but hopefully she can help prevent some cavities and keep me and the rest of the family from unwanted dentist visits. Unfortunately my toothbrush has a wide handle so I’ll just leave her as-is for now. Well, there you have it, a short review on Shikayama-Chan.

Pretty shiny figure, but at such a great price, who can complain? And, regardless, she’s still quite cute.

Snark – haha he’s all mine! eh if you got a little money to blow the figure’s cheap enough.
Blowfish – my son’s toothbrush fits but I don’t keep it there so he doesn’t knock it into the sink when trying to get it out. Mine and Riiana’s are too big.
