WonFes 2009 – Wishlisting Begins

A few of you might remember my laughable wishlist from last years WonFes. Well, this year has turned out to be much more devastating when considering how much money I can already see going into these. Reimu picture courtesy of Gelbooru, and all the following figures come from various sites. Luckily some of them watermarked that way I can properly give them credit without having to remember where I got them all from. Read on to see my dreadful, yet not entirely complete wishlist from WonFes 2009.
Figma Vita from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s and StrikerS. I am SO glad that I didn’t end up blowing almost $100 on the CM’s Corporation version, and instead waited to see if Max Factory would make her. It took a while but the wait is worth it. This Figma is a must get. There were some who doubted Max Factory could do it, but they’ve gotten good at making Figma, especially lately. Vita FTW.
Hakurei Reimu from Touhou. I believe I was in shock when I saw that this was indeed a real Figma and not another expensive tease by Liquidstone. This is a must get, although she’s not my favorite Touhou character, she looks awesome as a Figma. I know there’s also a Nendoroid of her but that just doesn’t capture her as well as this version does (in my opinion). I have a bad feeling this will be a hard to get Figma. Touhou figures are basically always event exclusive, aside from the recent Griffon figures… I’m getting this one if I have to pay extra through a proxy service or not. This also raises my hopes of one day seeing a Remilia and Flandre Scarlet Figma. So perhaps I can skip on the overpriced Liquidstone versions I’ve been trying to acquire for a little longer.
The Summer versions of each of the Lucky Star Figmas. Yes, I loved Lucky Star. I think the driving force here is that I already pre-ordered Konata (who’s coming out next month already!), and that she came with an extra head for her cousin Yutaka. This makes me believe that each of the Summer versions might come with extra heads for other characters. I guess we’ll see soon enough. Not 100% must gets but if they come with extra heads I might as well get them. No I won’t buy two of each, too many figures out there calling for me right now.
Canaan, from her self-titled currently ongoing series. At first when I saw this Figma I thought that piece of candy she had was a cigarette, and I didn’t really care for it. Now that I’ve seen 4 episodes of the anime, and highly enjoyed them all so far, I can say that this Figma is on my want list. Canaan is a great anime so far, hopefully it keeps up that way.
Fate and Nanoha Figma movie versions. Might not get them both, but hoping to. Fate holds priority because I’ve always liked her a bit more than Nanoha. There’s also the school uniform versions, but those don’t catch my attention as much right now. Perhaps I’ll end up getting them though.
Chiaki Minami from Minami-ke, in Nendoroid form. This one is an instant get for me, having just completed the first season recently and in the process of watching the second, third and the OVA. She is too damn cute to ignore.
K-On! Nendoroids. Ok, to be quite honest here, I’m not as excited about these as I had expected to be. I loved the anime quite a bit, but something about these Nendos just doesn’t feel right. Perhaps when they’re actually released I’ll feel differently, but right now the only thing I really really like about them is the fact they come with their respectable instruments. I’d honestly rather have them in Figma form. Will likely get these, if not for my sake for Riiana.
The alternate version of Black Rock Shooter. Yes, I have the first one pre-ordered and it’s releasing next month (I can’t wait!). I really like both versions, and you should know by now that I’m a sucker for BRS. I hope the original one gets here in time for my birthday. In the case that this comes out during a bad month, I might hold off and wait for a re-release, but I’d love to own both versions.
I honestly have no idea who makes this figure, and I’m not even 100% sure I’ll be getting it. She’s Kawai Honoka from Sora o Kakeru Shoujo, and without a doubt my favorite character from the series. I want at least one figure of her, and if this is the only option I think I’ll go with it. I’d like to see one of a little higher quality though if possible.
I’m almost positive that this one is a garage kit. Rider from Fate/Stay Night in the sexiest form I’ve seen so far. If this comes as a pre-painted kit I’m going to jump on this one. Otherwise I’ll probably avoid it because there’s no way I have the skill to paint something like this.
Francesca Lucchini from Strike Witches, Riiana’s favorite character of the series. She wants this one, and I want a Sanya figure but as there are now more choices I really don’t know which one I’ll be going for.
Lucia from the online golf MMO Pangya. This is the alternate color version, and very much a want. Unfortunately it looks to be a bit harder to acquire thanks to being an Ami Ami shop exclusive. Will be trying to get this one though, both Riiana and I are in agreement on that.
Yet another Miku figure that just makes me have to stop and look. This should be a high priority figure, but I’m a little undecided on it. It’s definitely eye popping, and it’s Miku, so I should want it badly, but we shall see. It is by Max Factory, who has impressed me with the quality of their PVCs lately.
There are a LOT more figures that I’m considering that didn’t quite make this list. For instance there are Toradora!, K-On! and Shangri-La figures that have more than one figure company making different versions of them and I really don’t know which I like most just yet. I’ll likely make another wishlist post in the near future or post about these individually when some more info comes out about them. Someone save me, I don’t know if I can handle this wishlist as well as last years.

xine – Mine was struggling for life before WonFes, so it’s going to be even worse now XD Lucia is quite pretty, I just hope she’s not too pricey.

WHAT!? How can Honoka be your favourite Sora Kake character, when the same series features a character as magnificent as Leopard!?
But sweet Vita figma though! Now if only they’ll release figma Subaru, I’ll be happy

I’m focusing on getting the figmas I don’t have rather than getting an alternative version. For Lucky Star, I can pass on them but for Nanoha, it’s too hard. lol
As much as I think that green Miku looks eye-catching, I don’t find it very appealing. I just think she looks a bit too high tech and she doesn’t look like the Miku I know.
Speaking on that note, I’m getting over Miku so that could be sign in why I see it that way.

Snark – haha, Leopard was awesome, I guess I forgot about him when it comes to figures. 1:1 Scale Leopard Colony ftw? XD I agree, Figma Subaru is needed, that actsta thing is just too damned expensive and off scale with the Figmas.
Optic – I agree on Nanoha. Yeah that Miku I’m not sure of. I’m nowhere near over Miku myself, but I’ll see when the figure gets announced what I decide to do, it’s not something I absolutely must have.
The Chiaki and K-ON! Nendoroids are too cute for me to pass on, I think I will be getting them. Your tastes are a bit different than mine ^^; Other than those Nendoroids, I’m just interested in the BRS figure… I didn’t pre-order the first version >_<

Gunstray – yeah Rider is 100% get, if she’s pre-painted at least. Even if she’s not I’ll still be tempted to buy her, but I have no confidence in my painting skills.
Oh~~Vita’s hammer looks shiny! Is it deliberate the date is not shown there? ^^;
Yeah…the summer uniform Lucky Star seem to have extra heads: Tsukasa with Tamura and Miyuki with Iwasaki. Not sure about Kagami but is probably Misao.
Maybe I’d get that BRS figure since I cancelled the first one >_< I think because of my budget I feel that my want list has been reduced by my realism that I can’t get any of these figures ^^;

Well, I reckon E2046 will try and put her into their gathering section in the near future. They’re already advertising for preorders on their recasts.
But I’m not a huge fan of vispo kits and Rider is hella expensive on Yahoo! Japan auctions. On the plus side, the scooter has got to be easier to paint than the bikes on his other kits…

I’m almost certain Rider will be part of the Gathering line up. Also, I’m not sure if her top is cast-offable or that she’s just topless. I like Rider for her rather cool nature (same reason why I like Luka I suppose, Yu Asakawa factor aside. And it just happened that her image song popped on my Winamp while I read this), and this one just doesn’t have that image.
Vita is definitely starting to grow on me, I wonder how big they’ll make Eisen’s Gigantform.
Our wish lists are a bit different but we have the K-On! Nnedoroids and Lucky Star figmas on common!
