Revoltech Queen’s Blade Airi (NSFW)
Posted by Persocom on Sep 5, 2009 in Figures | 12 comments

Airi is a scythe-wielding ghost maid from the anime and visual combat book series Queen’s Blade. She is my third Revoltech figure and the first of which who can be cast-off. In fact I believe she’s also the first figure I’ve owned with removable pantsu that actually has detail underneath. I got her from Hobby Search for 2,623 Yen or about $28, not including EMS shipping cost. She’s still available if you’re interested in buying her. I’ll leave my overall impressions on the anime for another time, as they have nothing to do with this purchase. So today I’ll be reviewing Airi, and not hiding anything from you, so prepare yourself for this review is not safe for work.

As you can see, they spared no detail on her parts. Airi comes with two scythe blades, 4 hands, 2 faces, 2 flames for her twin tails, one ripped stocking leg part, one ripped and one non-ripped top piece (not sure what to call it), as well as a plastic container with holes in it to store parts. As with all Revoltech series figures that I’ve seen so far, her joints are a bit loose and parts can fall off pretty easily. However, Airi’s twin tails haven’t given me any problems. The entire bottom half of her maid dress is made of flexible plastic, as well as her twin tails themselves. Her pantsu are also soft and flexible. Both bottom pieces of her dress can be removed in layers as well as entirely, and her collar can also be taken off. The holes left behind by the removal of the top piece of her breast area is rather unsightly but when removed you can get a better glimpse at her features. Her base is the most impressive Revoltech base I’ve seen to date, as it most closely resembles the Figma bases. This is the very first Revoltech figure that I actually use the base with. It’s also nice that the base states the name and series of the character on it.

The real reason I bought her was because she was the first Queen’s Blade character I had ever seen or heard of before, back before I knew what Queen’s Blade was and before it was even a rumor that there was going to be an anime release. I loved her character design, maid with a scythe and twin tails. I remember after I saw a couple pictures of her I scrambled around the net trying to find out more about her. My feelings toward the anime however, are entirely different. In fact to this day I’ve yet to complete it. Perhaps one of these days I’ll sit down through it all. When I do I’m sure I’ll have something to say about it. In conclusion to my review though, if you’re into twin-tailed maids with scythes and that gothic look like I am, then this is the figure for you. Or, should I say, if you’re into ecchi cast-off action figures or just a general fan of Queen’s Blade then this is a surefire get also. I think this is a decent figure from Revoltech and quite interesting with it’s realistic ecchiness. We now return you to your regular family friendly schedule.

- Animatic Figmation » Echidna Revoltech (NSFW) - [...] a good representation of Echidna, even if it lacks in a few areas. Her scale is a bit taller ...

Goddammit, I saw her on sale at the anime con I was at today…had I read your review earlier, I would have bought her >_<

Well, sorry I didn’t post my review sooner :3 Hope you can find her elsewhere for a good price ^^
Airi changed my opinion of revoltechs … quality is much better than their old fraeleins. though still overall not as good as figmas, they have their own charms (like their legs being able to do the ecchi pose whilst figmas cannot!)

Woot! Dude you rock!
Youre the first one who has the guts to show her in all her epicness!
No Idea why everyones so concerned about her beeing detailed down there.
This reminds me that I never got started with my action figure reviews^^;;
Acesan – I agree, Airi gives me a new hope for the Revoltech line, I might just keep buying them if the quality is going to be like this from now on. They don’t make enough awesome characters either, I don’t find many Revoltech figures that even interest me. Figma is still my first choice.
Blowfish – Thanks ^^ I noticed when I was looking for a review that showed her that the most they’d do is mention her nether regions but nobody had any uncensored pictures. If I’m buying a figure and reviewing it I figure there’s no point in holding back and showing everything.
I am tempted by her dollfie dream
so cute! And wah about the bits ^^;

Chun – Ooh a dollfie dream of Airi? Don’t think I’ve seen her. And as for the bits.. Airi is the most tame of the Queen’s Blade Revoltechs from what I’ve seen XD
Nice figure – I had seen that Airi was a little showgirl. Nice set of pics!

Quick Star´s last blog ..Monster Hunter Frontier Online, should be out ASAP
I knew I should have kept Airi in my shopping basket back in Japan >.>; I knew it! Someday may be! Nice uncensored pics
Yeah Airi has a Dollfie Dream form, I been looking at her every once in a while, she is cute like that.

Glad to see that you have Airi as well. It’s good to see that Kaiyodo’s Revoltech line is trying to go for the bishoujo line, and is working well. Moreso, it’s around the same height as figmas!
I did a review of her sometime ago too, but decided not to do a ‘full’ review as I aimed for my blog to be SFW. But that’s just me. Nice poses you’ve done for Airi though!

bluedrakon – thanks ^^
Quick Star – Will add you now ^^
Wolfheinrich – I need to check out the Dollfie version of Airi, though I still have my sights set on Louise atm.
Q – You’re probably making a wise decision by keeping the blog SFW, I’m going all out and risking it though. I’m pretty sure I checked out your review before buying her, maybe I didn’t comment
The height thing is great, hopefully they keep making them that way, If Revoltech keeps going this direction I might be buying them more often.
