Itsuki Koizumi Figma

This is a review that I suppose is overdue. I bought Itsuki Koizumi Figma on sale for only $14.99 (+$8 shipping) at Toylet Collectibles back in September. It’s the only experience I’ve had buying from them so far, and it was a good one. I had planned to get him and Kyon to finish the set of the main Haruhi cast when I had a time when nothing was coming out that I really wanted and I had the extra money, so the sale was perfect. Of course he’s still available there but you’ll have to pay $33.99 now. Anyways this is one of a few overdue figure reviews I will be doing this week. I’ve suddenly got a lot of things I want to post again. Read on for a short review and a bunch of pictures.

Itsuki comes with 2 faces, 10 hands including two for holding things like weapons, 2 pointing, 2 clenched fists, 2 open hands and two that look slightly like “choking” hands. He also comes with his indoor and outdoor shoes, the indoor are on by default. What really stands out is the chalkboard backdrop that comes with him, straight out of the anime itself. This is a reason why many people who wouldn’t normally collect male figures buy him in the first place, aside from completing the set. This Figma is actually pretty good for an older one, in fact his hair piece is probably the most secure I’ve seen out of all the Figmas I own. The only thing I think would have been nice that wasn’t included is to give him an angry/fighting face. I never realized just how tall he is until I got this Figma either.

In conclusion, this is a decent Figma and one of the few male ones out there. I know this review is extremely late considering when he originally came out, but I felt the need to do one regardless. I’ll be doing another Figma review soon, next time of the normal Haruhi Figma that was actually my second anime figure. Previously I only had a couple pictures of her here and there, mostly with other figures, so it’s about time I at least do something.

LoL overdue is right, but technically it’s not late since you got him 2 months ago… Well doesn’t matter. Review is a review XD A lot of my figure “reviews” are late anyways. I’ve only recently played around with the Koizumi figma. Didn’t really have a story for him until I delved into the yaoi subject ^^;;;
lightningsabre´s last blog ..MEIKO
Who cares that this figure review has long been overdue?
Your poses are definately new and fresh!
Love the one wheres hes picking the suns nose!
Just did finsih taking pics for my di:stage review and I once again reölaizd how uncreative I am when it comes to action figure poses ^^;;;
This is certainly a great find! Thanks for the review!
lightningsabre – lol I’ll stay away from the yaoi thing myself, but yeah only had him for a couple months and had newer stuff to review at the time he came out.
Blowfish – thanks ^^ I don’t feel all that creative either really, I just mess around and hope the shots come out. So many pictures have to be discarded because my camera fails.
Hirobot – np thanks for checking it out ^^
these figures are amazing, how do you get the light so perfect on the photos?
mindflex´s last blog ..Buy Mindflex in stock now
mindflex – I use sunlight <_<
ok yeah that makes sense persocom…
must be my rubbish camera or the uk weather lol

mindflex – actually my camera is pretty rubbish too, I just wait for the right time of day and take advantage of the window XD I wish I could say I have skills but it’s all luck
Overdue is no big issue – the poseable figures I have bought this summer were reviewed much later than I’ve bought them so it’s no problem IMHO.
I too didn’t realise how tall Itsuki is compared to Haruhi. Watch a quick clip on Hare Hare Yukai dance reminds me the girls only stand up to his shoulder~chin-ish.
It’s good to see something older getting reviewed. It’s like how some people re-review older stuff sometimes.
Q´s last blog ..Figutto Tamaki Kousaka preview
Q – true true, I enjoy seeing fresh reviews on older figures once in a while myself. I will most likely re-review some things if I manage to get a camera upgrade next year, I know some of my shoots could have been a lot better.
