Echidna Revoltech (NSFW)

Echidna is another Revoltech by Kaiyodo, from the anime and series of visual combat book series Queen’s Blade. She’s a wild elf mercenary with yuri tendencies, and a poisonous live snake for pantsu. I bought her from AmiAmi for a decent price of 2,168 Yen. Luckily if you’re interested she’s still available for purchase as of writing this, and AmiAmi is still doing the half off shipping deal for the rest of March. Echidna is, as all QB figures are, cast-off, so this post is NOT safe for work (extremely not). Knowing that, come on in and check out my review.
Echidna comes with a total of 2 faces, 2 pieces of battle damage armor, her snake Kenta, doubling as pantsu, a shield, her dagger, her normal removable armor and 6 hands. She also has her Revoltech stand and container, which easily holds all her pieces (aside from the dagger) considering she doesn’t have a whole lot compared to others. Her ponytail is on a Revoltech joint making it easy to move around for posing or remove altogether. Her shoulder armor pieces are also on little joints making them able to move with her arms in most poses. Her little daggers on her leg can be moved around. Her joints are typical for a Revoltech and can feel a bit odd at first, but they really do allow for some fun posing. Echidna’s neck joint is hidden well by her armor. The battle damage armor isn’t too fancy, but it does the job. Kenta of course doesn’t need to have a battle damage form, but I do find him being shiny like her armor is a bit unrealistic considering he’s supposed to be a live snake. Her faces leave a bit to be desired, especially her extra face, but I find the original one to be decent enough. Her weapon and shield both have good detail, and her body under the armor is great considering she’s an action figure. The only thing that’s a bit unsightly in my opinion is the way they broke her waist from her pelvic region, but I guess it was necessary in order to properly remove Kenta. I think this figure is a good representation of Echidna, even if it lacks in a few areas. Her scale is a bit taller than Airi, but she still fits in well with Figmas and other QB Revoltechs.
In conclusion, Echidna was a good get, though I’m quite biased now that I’m completely sucked into the world of Queen’s Blade. Expect more QB Revoltech reviews in the near future, because I’m close to completing the collection of currently released ones now. In case you’re wondering who the girl towards the end is, she’s Alleyne, whom arrived today just in time to be taken advantage by a lustful Echidna. It fit Echidna’s personality to do such a thing, and tell me that hand with the curved in finger wasn’t meant for such things. If you’re into Queen’s Blade, or ecchi action figures that beg to be abuse eachother on camera, er I mean, that beg for action, consider picking up the slithery elven sensation Echidna.

The joints make the figure look a bit weird, but I’m guessing that gives it a wider range of movements compared to figmas.

Nopy – Well in some ways they are more mobile than Figma, but I find the hip joints to be a tad bit troublesome in comparison at times. Figma definitely does a better job of hiding joints but I don’t mind them personally.
Blowfish – Thanks, it’s was quite fun setting this one up. I’m considering modifying and re-using the background for Alleyne but I also would like it to be entirely original. Yes, it’s still sitting on the table at the moment, guess I better move it before Riiana gets home from work.
GREW – Thanks, yeah I’ve kinda been overdosing the site with action figures lately, my apologies, but there’s a PVC that should hopefully be here today and by the end of the month or early next month there will be at least 2 more.

I still hate the fact that its revoltech, its weird an old robot company makes ero fig. Yeah good fig aside, the second face is horrible, and the snake looks like some kind of silverware.

Gunstray – haha silverware, the snake shouldn’t have been shiny that’s for sure. I’m not a fan of the second face either. Those really are the only things wrong with her in my opinion. She was one only number 3 in the QB Revo line-up though, it seems that they improved the further down the line you go.

Haha, ero scenes you have there. I don’t watch Queen’s Blade so it makes me wonder if there is actual groping like in the pictures you made xD. The joint spaces make it look a bit weird though ^^;;.

like your use of depth of field… background would be pretty busy had it been sharp but you kept it nicely out of focus ^^

About the toy, comparing to the other Kaiyodo QB characters, i think she’s the least successful and particularly the faces. ^^

I agree although Reina’s faces are less than desirable too. Seems the line gets better with each release for the most part though.

I need help in finding Echidna 2P figure. She came out in December, but every site I hit, she’s not available. Why is she so hard to buy? I clearly understand the simple facts of supply and demand….blah blah blah. But I do not understand why Kaiyodo did not anticipate that this figure would hit it big.She is still “new” and I can’t buy even one. I did put down money for her through Toylet.com, but that was back in March and still no figure. OMG!!! they remind me of Toys n Joys ( bad flash-back).Now I will have to demand my money back. I get so tired of the games people play just because I want to buy a particular figure, let alone the hassle I am getting in trying to buy all the Shakugan no Shana figures I want at realistic price range. If any one can help get with this site and have them contact me with the info.
