Black Rock Shooter Haul +

I realize I’ve been slacking on posting lately, but I have a few posts in the process right now. I would have done something else today, but I woke up to the mailman knocking on the door. Four packages arrived today, I got my 3 Black Rock Shooter shirts, 2 Black Rock Shooter mugs, 2 Black Rock Shooter notepads, and a Shana & Kazumi Yoshida PVC set all from Hobby Link Japan. Not to mention a few days ago I got a Jigoku Shoujo shirt from them as well. Todays haul also includes 1 Melissa Seraphy Nendoroid obtained from Dannychoo.com classifieds, and 1 Makina Hoshimura Figma from Hobby Search. I’ll show the shirts and other miscellaneous goodies in this post, and do separate photo shoots for the figures soon.
First off I’ll show the Enma Ai shirt I got from Hobby Link Japan, since it arrived a couple days ago. It has Ai’s famous phrase “Ippen, Shindemiru?” written on it, which if you’ve seen Jigoku Shoujo roughly translates as “Would you like try dying this once?”.
Speaking of Jigoku Shoujo, I just recently finished watching the third season, Mitsuganae. I might have to write up a post about that soon. Many people didn’t care for it as much as the first and second season, including me, but I think there were some awesome moments in it, and the ending was satisfying for me.
Obviously, I’m a big Miku Hatsune fan, and since Black Rock Shooter is an original character with her own Miku song, and I love the character design, I decided to pick up these Black Rock Shooter goodies from Hobby Link Japan before they were completely sold out. These will satisfy my Black Rock Shooter cravings until the awesome 1/8 PVC by Goodsmile Company comes out in August. 3 Shirts, 2 mugs and 2 notepads. Guess I’ll be sharing with Riiana this time around. I absolutely love all this stuff, and I’m glad I got it. New wardrobe get!
I wasn’t going to include a video showing the Black Rock Shooter song because most of you have probably heard it, but there’s always a chance you haven’t so I’ll throw one of them up with English subtitles in.
There’s a couple other good Black Rock Shooter videos out there besides this one, and don’t forget the awesome 1/8 PVC coming out late this summer, which in my opinion is going to be one of the best figures of the year.
These figures will get their own posts soon. Which one should I review first? Melissa Seraphy Nendoroid from Wagamama Capriccio, Makina Hoshimura from Shikabane Hime, or Shana and Kazumi Yoshida from Shakugan no Shana? I think I’ll do Makina first since it’s been a while since I got a new Figma, but we’ll see. I haven’t even had a chance to play with these figures much yet, all this stuff arrived on a rather busy day. May is going to be painful on the bank account, as I still have more pre-orders coming later on in the month. Must learn to control spending habits better. Two of these figures were impulse buys. Keep a look out for the figure reviews soon.

Those BRS shirts look great. I’m 6’4″ so I don’t know if they’ll fit. I imagine Japanese shirt sizes are smaller than those in the US, but I’ve been itching for a new mug…maybe a BRS mug or a notepad, though I never use paper, seeing it just makes me want it.

super rats – I’m about 5’11″ and these shirts are all L, and fit great. They do also sell XL if you need one size up and I’d assume that would work fine. I really like these mugs, and I’m not sure if I’ll use the notepads either, but they’re works of art.
The shirts look good enough I’ll take a risk. Worst comes to worst I can just give it to someone and glare at them jealously as they wear my shirt! ^^

Jeez… did you leave any BRS merchandise for the rest of us?? LOL I kid. I was very close in getting one of the shirts, but I realize I have TONS of Cospa shirts in my wardrobe already and I need to hold back… Resist!

I LOVE anime shirts, the only issue I have is that I’m not fond of the color black and rarely wear it. But for some reason ALL the best anime shirts are black! I was looking over shirts on HLJ last week and swooned over the Enma Ai one, I REALLY REALLY love that line and the way she says it. I never get tired of hearing her say it every episode. I ended up choosing a Haruhi shirt for myself and a Tengen Toppa one for the bf. I still prefer Miku to BRS for some reason, I have no idea why.

lovelyduckie – me too, I don’t think I could ever have too many of them. I’m pretty fond of black myself but my wife likes more colorful stuff. I pre-ordered the Enma Ai shirt as soon as I saw it, couldn’t resist. I never get tired of her using that line either. Hopefully we’ll get a season 4 next year.
Minaru – yup, got the Figma bag too, forgot to include it in the picture, but it’s in my new post with Makina.

In Animate when I was in Japan I was able to get the brown/green T-shirt and the notepad. It’s like…my new fav. shirt.
