Kagami Hiiragi Cosplay Ver. Figma

This Figma hails from the Lucky Star OVA. Here we have Kagami Hiiragi from Lucky Star cosplaying as Miku Hatsune. She was bought from good ol’ Hobby Search for the reasonable price of 2,261 Yen. Luckily if anyone is interested in buying her from there she’s still available right here at the time of writing up this post. For a full review and many more pictures, please read on.
Kagami or as many call her in this mode, Kagamiku, comes with 2 faces, the slightly embarrassed blushing face and the extremely irritated face, 2 leeks, 10 hands, as well as her base and Figma bag. Her twin tails are longer than the original Figma Kagami, and shorter than Figma Miku Hatsune’s. The twin tails are also on Figma joints and are quite poseable and stay in place very well, no worries of them falling down if you stick them straight up. I was wrong on my last Figma review thinking the hand joints were all going to be without a ball on them, Kagami is a back to the original Figma hand style here. Though the hand joints are back to normal, they’re not too hard to get in and out of her sleeves. As for her body sculpt she’s got the body figure of the Lucky Star Figma series of course, so she’s not an exact clone of Miku Hatsune with just Hiiragi’s head as a difference. There are quite a few differences easily noticeable, not discluding the body size. On her right sleeve is the Lucky Star cat, while the left is blank. The tattoo on her right arm says K star H instead of 01. Her thigh high boots don’t have heels whereas Miku’s do. Also her outfit lacks frills as Miku’s has. If you’re a Kagami Hiiragi fan and/or Vocaloid fan this is a great figure to add to your collection. Her faces work with the original Kagami Figma as well as the other Lucky Star girls. Adorable is the perfect word to describe this figure, I don’t regret choosing this version instead of the Nendoroid at all, even if the Nendo is cute too.

Given how I’m fairly disinterested with Vocaloids, and have nothing but scorn and loathing for Lucky Star, I think I’ll give this figma a miss. That said though, it’s still a pretty nice figure; looks better sculpted then the original Kagami figma
Nice Kagamiku~ Interesting to know that her twin tails’ length is between normal Kagami’s and Miku’s. I think the reason for having normal ball end joints for the hands is that these are Lucky Star hands and it would be more feasible for Max Factory to reuse them rather than making new parts for it.

Shinky – I thought about doing that too but I saw other people doing it already so I thought I’d do something different. I might do a shoot with them later on though just for fun.

I’m currently dead broke and I don’t know any figmas yet. But I must admit she looks real cute and the irritated expression is funny XD
I’m still not getting this one… I see that I haven’t opened any of my Lucky Star figmas and I think I’ll never open them it seems, so getting this one would have the same result -.- I’m more fond of Nendoroids these days ^^;

Lovely review. I was told the ball joints are a lot easier now to fit in. Their new design using ABS or somethin’ make the joints more stronger, durable etc.
I still wanna get her but it’s on my wishlist atm.
