Azusa Nakano

Shifting back to review mode now, I’m going to switch things up from the usual and show you my latest Nendoroid arrival Azusa Nakano from K-On! We bought this from AmiAmi for 2,598 yen, and she’s still available there if you’re interested in picking one up. Of course, this is the re-issue as the first batch sold out quite quickly. Azusa is the 5th member of Houkago Tea Time, and plays a Fender Mustang electric guitar. She’s often referred to as Azu-nyan, a nickname that Yui gave her. She’s another fine Nendoroid from GoodSmile Company indeed. Though there are Nendoroids of all the main characters of K-On!, this will probably be the only one we buy. Well then, enough with the intro, on to the main show!

Nendoroid Sanae Kochiya

Sanae Kochiya

Sanae Kochiya comes from Touhou Project, and she is the wind priestess and shrine maiden to Moriya Shrine. She made her first appearance in Touhou 10: Mountain of Faith, and has appeared in 4 other official Touhou games as a playable character or a boss. This is the Nendoroid by GoodSmile Company, and I purchased her from Otacute. I’m quite happy with my purchase, as they even included a some little GoodSmile racing decals in the package for free. The best thing is she was fairly priced, though the shipping brought her to a total of about $65. Still fair considering she’s not in-stock and it might take a bit of hunting to find her now, unless they get more in. Sanae is my first Touhou Nendoroid, and boy do I regret not having gotten the first two, considering how much I love this one, as well as Touhou itself. Click to see the full review!

Akitasauce!?

Akitasauce?

Another arrival came today, Sanae Kochiya nendo from Touhou. I’ll probably do her review in the next day or two. But for today you get a randomly cute filler post. I sat down for a snack of some sugar free applesauce tonight and I couldn’t help myself. Sanae begged for the spotlight but I think little Neru Akita tried to steal it away, or perhaps she just wanted to steal away the applesauce. I don’t feel up to putting words to the pictures, but I decided to do a little run of pictures for a “silent comic”. Itadakimasu~

Nendoroid Plus: Vocaloid Pull-Back Cars

This time around the figure acquisition isn’t my own possession. My son just turned 6 on March 30th, and these were part of his birthday presents. Unfortunately due to sitting in customs for 2 days they didn’t arrive until the day after, but he was very happy to have them even if they were a day late. I got his permission to take pictures of them and he insisted on being in a couple. We had ordered them quite some time ago when we first heard about them and luckily the release date didn’t get pushed back. I decided to keep the order with HobbySearch as they are quite quick about shipping things out and the payment is quicker because I don’t have to wait a day between invoice and payment. They’re still available on HobbySearch as well as other stores, and you can buy them separately or in some places as a full set depending on your tastes. They come at 1,198 Yen each, Miku Hatsune, Luka Megurine, Len Kagamine and Rin Kagamine. Read on for more chibi Vocaloid goodness.

Nendoroid Chiaki Minami

Nendoroid: Chiaki Minami

My first Nendoroid of the year is Chiaki Minami, from the Minami-ke series, which to date spans over three full seasons and an OVA, all of which I enjoyed. I had pre-ordered her immediately after seeing her at Hobby Search, and I’m quite glad I did. She sold out before she was released so if you don’t have her and desire her in your collection, you’ll have to look elsewhere or wait until a re-release. Chiaki reminds me of why I love Nendoroids. She did cost around $50 with the EMS shipping, but I had ordered her back before SAL was an option. Luckily now you can order Nendoroids with SAL from Hobby Search and save money, which I will be doing when possible. Well then, read on for my first Nendoroid review of the year, bakayaro! (Chiaki made me say it).
