Kooh PVC

Kooh arrived at my door this morning via EMS from Japan To Door. I used them to order from Amazon.jp, and because of that the price was way higher than it should have been. I’ve been wanting this figure and everywhere I go it’s sold out, so I really couldn’t tell you where to get it now. She was released back in July of 2006, so it’s no wonder she’s harder to find. I’ll be doing a review on Japan To Door soon to describe my experience in more detail so look forward to it. Kooh comes from the MMO golf simulation game Pangya, previously known as Albatross18 in the US. Go figure that today the official re-opening of Pangya USA would be announced to coincide with this figure arrival. It looks like I’ll be back on the greens this weekend. This Kooh is made by Aoshima and also has a limited color variant version out there, but I prefer her in her original colors. You may remember my Arin 1/8 PVC review that I did not long ago, well Kooh is another character from the same game. Anyways, read on for more pictures and the full review.

Golden Darkness (Konjiki no Yami) 1/8 PVC

Golden Darkness, a.k.a. Konjiki no Yami, or just plain Yami like most people would call her, comes from the manga/anime To Love-Ru. She’s known as the deadliest assassin in the universe, and her entire body can transform into weapons at will. This figure was made to go along with the GoodSmile Company 1/8 PVC of Lala Satalin Deviluke, whom I’ve already reviewed here. I bought Yami from Hobby Search for 5,881 Yen, and she’s still available there at the time of writing this post. Read on for my review and more pictures.

Haruhi Suzumiya Gekisou Ver. 1/8 PVC by Max Factory

Haruhi Suzumiya Gekisou Ver. 1/8 PVC

Just yesterday I got a new package in the mail, and while I’d normally do some kind of loot post to give me time to take pictures of my new figures, this time I decided not to. Though I must say the box for this figure is impressive, I’m just going to skip straight to the figure. Haruhi Suzumiya is from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, though I doubt she needs any introduction. I bought her from Hobby Search for 7,057 Yen, and surprisingly she’s still in stock at the time of writing this. While the shipping was at an all time high because of having her combined with the next figure I’ll be reviewing, I must say she’s worth it. This is hands down the best Haruhi figure I have seen as of yet, and the first 1/8 PVC of her I’ve had the pleasure of owning. Read on for the full review and lots of pictures!

Kanako Ohno 1/8 PVC by GoodSmile Company

Kanako Ohno 1/8 PVC

Recently I acquired this older figure (originally released May of 2006) from Ebay, probably the worst place to buy figures in the entire world. The price, location of seller and 100% positive feedback was what convinced me to buy. The seller lived in the same state as me and free shipping. I paid $24.99 for Kanako, although she’s used and there’s a few spots where you can tell. She’s got the AAA sticker and the shiny sticker on the box to prove she’s not a fake. Kanako Ohno is from the manga/anime series Genshiken (which I thoroughly enjoyed), and she’s a cosplay fanatic. Ever since I saw the 2 seasons and OVA of Genshiken I’ve wanted a figure of her, but I never got around to finding one I liked in stock in stores. Go figure right after I bought her they restocked her at Hobby Search, where I usually get my figures from. Still, I’m happy to own her and especially at such a low price, even if she’s not in perfect condition. Anyways, on to the review. Slightly ecchi warning: cleavage and removable skirt ahead, but no actual nudity.

Pixy Hiyori 1/8 PVC

Pixy Hiyori comes from the eroge Chu x Chu Idol: The Idol is a Vampire!?(NSFW link). I’ve played a little bit of the game a while back when I first heard about the figures from it, though it hasn’t been translated into English. In case you didn’t notice in the title, I’m going to warn you right away that this review will not be safe for work. I’m also going to try something different this time by using the pictures straight from my Flickr account. If you prefer I switch back to the old way let me know. This will be the first true ecchi figure review I’ve done. If you don’t like ecchi turn back now. Now for the figure details. Pixy Hiyori is 1/8 scale PVC by GoodSmile Company. I bought her from OtakuFuel for $67.95, and she doesn’t seem to be in stock anymore because there’s no add to cart button.
