Well, I’ve had my DSLR for a bit now, but I’m still really getting the hang of it. There’s still quite a lot of tricks and things that I haven’t figured out, but I’ve been taking plenty of pictures. Today I’m just going to pick some random pictures and throw them up for you to see. Of course, being mostly a figure blog I’ll be sure to throw is some goodies so as to keep the interest of like-minded people. I’ve got so many reviews and so much to post about but I’ve been pretty busy lately so I’m getting kind of slow on keeping up with them. Rest assured I’ll be back in the swing of things in no time, might even pump out a review tomorrow. But for now, bare with me. Shana & Kazumi Yoshida 1/8 PVC by Chara-Ani

Thanks to Blowfish mentioning a sale that was going on at Hobby Link Japan, I picked up these girls as a set for half price. Shana and Kazumi Yoshida come from the anime/manga Shakugan no Shana. I got them from Hobby Link Japan on sale for only 3,800 Yen as opposed to the regular price of 7,600 Yen. At the time of writing up this review they’re still available here, but you won’t get them on sale like I did. These figures come together in a set as one, and are featured in their school gym uniforms, or bloomers. Black Rock Shooter Haul +

I realize I’ve been slacking on posting lately, but I have a few posts in the process right now. I would have done something else today, but I woke up to the mailman knocking on the door. Four packages arrived today, I got my 3 Black Rock Shooter shirts, 2 Black Rock Shooter mugs, 2 Black Rock Shooter notepads, and a Shana & Kazumi Yoshida PVC set all from Hobby Link Japan. Not to mention a few days ago I got a Jigoku Shoujo shirt from them as well. Todays haul also includes 1 Melissa Seraphy Nendoroid obtained from Dannychoo.com classifieds, and 1 Makina Hoshimura Figma from Hobby Search. I’ll show the shirts and other miscellaneous goodies in this post, and do separate photo shoots for the figures soon. Read More
Shana Flame Hair Ver. Figma

Shana, the Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter, or Flame Haze, has arrived in fiery Figma form. She hails from the anime Shakugan no Shana, though this particular figure is from Shakugan no Shana II. I bought her from Hobby Search, as usual, and she cost 2,261 Yen, sans shipping cost. She is still in stock at the time of writing this.

Sayonara 2008

Well, it’s 2009 already in most of the world, but I’m still stuck in the past. I got lucky and these two figures arrived this morning, just in time to be my last arrivals for the year. This ends my first year as a figure collector, and I’m ending the year happy. Figma Shana and Nendoroid Miku Hatsune have made themselves snug and warm in my cold living chambers. Maybe Shana can warm the place up a bit. Nendoroid Miku marks my very first Nendo! I have one coming in January and another in February. Well, I’m not really going to be doing anything special to bring in the new year as far as I know, maybe watch anime or something. I don’t drink or “party”, been over that stage for a while now. I am NOT going to add up my figure expenses or whatever for the year, I don’t even want to know so I definitely don’t feel like sharing it with others. Anyways, I really don’t like making new years’ resolutions, but I think instead I’ll just list a few goals that I should be able to accomplish. So here goes.
